Birmingham City Council is undertaking a review of its Travel Assistance Policy and as part of this review they want to consult with all stakeholders on the changes to the policy that are being considered. These changes would come into effect for the 2024/25 academic year (September 2024 onwards). Please follow the link below to have your say.

As part of the consultation process for the proposed changes to Birmingham City Council’s Travel Assistance Policy, the Children & Young People’s Travel Service will be hosting an additional in-person consultation session for residents of south Birmingham. The details for this in-person consultation session are as follows:

As with the other in-person consultation sessions, the purpose of this session is to ensure that everyone who wishes to engage with the consultation process is clear on the proposed policy changes, and to offer people the opportunity to provide their views and feedback on these proposed changes in a more personal setting.

Again, this session will be hosted by Adrian Weissenbruch, Assistant Director for the Children & Young People’s Travel Service, and it will be for students, parents and carers primarily, and particularly those families with children who are in Year 11 or of sixth form age. No booking is required for this in-person consultation session.
